Textile designer/product developer

Innvik AS is looking for a textile designer/product developer in a 100% position with an office location in our premises in Innvik, Vestland. As a designer/product developer at Innvik, you will both work with your own
design for key customers, assist in project/customer development, and develop/construct
textiles that are to be launched in an international market. In the international market we collaborate with the PU department in Kvadrat and external designers. Quality assurance and the provision of professional knowledge in production is also an important part of the position.

As an applicant, you must have a good sense of form and color, be quick to perceive new trends and ideas, and at the same time be able to communicate with customers and translate their wishes and needs into exciting products. You should also be systematic and process-oriented. Travel is expected.

 

The ideal applicant has the following characteristics:

•Relevant further education at minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent.

•Good knowledge and experience in textile design and textiles/fibers.

•Market overview and focus on commercial

Products.

• Good knowledge of binding and material science. Knowledge of digital weaving is an asset.

• Good computer skills and experience using digital tools in the design process.

• Good communication skills.

• Preferably theoretical or practical expertise in textile production.

• Handle English both orally and in writing.

Production worker

We are looking for a new employee for textile production in our factory in Innvik. There is a 3-shift system in the department. As an employee in our production, after completing training, you will be responsible for operating machines and continuously checking quality and color. 

The company will provide professional training according to its own training program. Desired qualifications are an interest in production, a willingness to work hard and an understanding of color and quality. You should be conscientious, accurate and efficient.
